CDS site look and feel click to zoom

This site started as a header desing and blossomed into a full fledged site rework. We were trying to mimic the materials used in car manufacturing. It turned out more stylized in the end, but the work up really introduced me to the auto industry.

West Michigan Allstar blog design click to zoom

This was a wordpress site for a local high school sports blog. The client and I really worked closely together to get this one right where we wanted it. I have continued to do design work for them, and am pretty pleased with the over all look that their collaterals have.

Standnow.org site look and feel click to zoom

This was one of several roughs that we came up with for a re-design of the current stand website. Though we ended up with something else entirely, i really liked where this one was going. I felt like it really emphasized the major points of navigation.

Pledge 2 Protect site design click to zoom

Pledge 2 Protect was a 3 day event in Washington, DC sponsored by three major anti-genocide organizations. There were over 2000 people in attendance, mostly students. We had to turn this site around in basically 3 days from start to finish. I think it turned out awesome given the timeline.

Never Ignore, Never Forget site design click to zoom

Never Ignore, Never Forget is a non-profit founded by Matthew Heck. Based out of Wichita, Kansas Matt and a team of runners participate in a relay across the nation to raise money for genocide awareness. The main feature in the race is navigating the nations roads. With that in mind we pulled much of our inspiration from street signage, and the various items one comes across on the journey.

Jn. Marie site look and feel click to zoom

This look and feel was for a fashion designer. The love the way it looks, but its a matter of doing it right, and once we have a budget that permits, we are going full speed ahead with a flash site.

Henkel Refinishing click to zoom

Really basic site design. This company is no longer around, but I really liked the idea of making a site out of actual building materials.

Headers Collection click to zoom

I do some header work from time to time. Sometimes a client doesn’t have a budget for a full site design. So, we take a wordpress template, and customize it to death and put up a nice header and they have a good start until they can afford the real deal.

GearHub (site mock-up 3) click to zoom

With this iteration we were looking to make the featured items part of the “how it works” section.

GearHub (site mock up 2) click to zoom

With this version we cut back on the color and just tried to give it a more high-end simple feel.

GearHub (mock up 1) click to zoom

GearHub is a work in progress, I have posted here 3 of the series as we move along in the development. We are focusing heavily on content placement. Our primary goal was placing as much of the navigation and hotspots above the fold as possible.

Fourth Coast Cafe (final site) click to zoom

Fourth Coast has been around for 15 years, and fought off oodles of competition along the way. So with their site we wanted something straight forward, and concrete. The impact of the black and white is no non-sense and upfront, just like the cafe.

Fourth Coast Cafe click to zoom

This was our first run at the Fourth Coast site. We were shooting for a flash based site with lots of groovy animation like moving clouds, birds, ships and the like…but it didn’t really fit the character of the cafe. We are much happier with the design we ended up going with, but all the same it was a neat idea to start
